Canyoning in Gran Canaria: The La Mina Canyon and More Adventure

Recently, we spent an exciting day canyoning in Gran Canaria, specifically in the popular La Mina Canyon, located in Lagunetas. The conditions were quite interesting, as it had rained heavily in the previous days, making the water cold and the sky threatened more rain. Therefore, we prepared well and wore double jackets to protect ourselves from the cold, but in the end, the sun came out and the temperatures became ideal for our adventure.

One of the important aspects to consider when practicing canyoning in Gran Canaria is that most of the island’s canyons remain dry for much of the year. Although these canyons are spectacular during the rainy season, they pose a completely different challenge for the rest of the year, as they turn into dry routes. Nevertheless, they remain very entertaining routes, but the experience changes significantly compared to the months when the water flows.

The La Mina Canyon, however, is an exception, as it maintains a constant flow of water throughout the year. Although the water level may fluctuate, it always offers an exciting and unique water experience for canyoning enthusiasts. Here are some pictures from our incredible adventure this week.
